NKF | 2010 U.S. Transplant Games

Join Us at the 2010 NKF U.S. Transplant Games - Madison, WI | July 30 - August 4, 2010

Athletes from all over the United States will gather next week in Wisconsin to compete for medals in a dozen sports, including track and field, swimming, basketball, tennis and golf. These games, however, are a bit different from the Olympics or other championships. All of the athletes in the Wisconsin games have received lifesaving organ transplants. Long Jump

Rich placed 4th place in the Mens Long Jump Masters 1 with a distance of 10 feet 5 inches. There were 10 contenders.


This morning NPR aired a story about the U.S. Transplant Games. It featured the thoughts and feelings of gold medal high jumper Becky Ridgeway about her heart transplant and participation in the games.

Fox Interview

I was interviewed yesterday by Fox News for the Transplant Games. It will be shown next week when the games are in progress on the Fox News and the Fox Local Affiliate channels. I had to go into the city [NYC]. They brought me into the "green" room, put make-up on me, and interviewed me for about 3 minutes.
