Last week, NPR’s Visuals team released their dailygraphics rig, which offers workflow for small-scale visualizations, interactives, and graphics, along with “automated machinery for creating, deploying and embedding these mini-projects.” Their introductory blog post breaks down how to set up and use the rig, and the code is open source and ready to use. In other news the Copyright Royalty Board has set rates for Internet simulcasts which will affect non-commercial radio such as SomaFM.
Thankfully NPR is fighting back.
This morning NPR aired a story about the U.S. Transplant Games. It featured the thoughts and feelings of gold medal high jumper Becky Ridgeway about her heart transplant and participation in the games.
